Funny how the things I believed were evil hit that Uno Reverse when I got old enough to look critically at what I was being taught compared to what Jesus was actually all about. Do I believe there are still good churches and pastors? Absolutely. I just think those probably don’t label themselves as evangelical, and probably are a lot harder to find. So, like many of us, I am a church orphan—finding Jesus in the world, outside of a building, among the trees, in the rivers, among the rocks. He is everywhere. Christ-loving community is everywhere.
