Pumpkin Arch🎃Spooky Trees Tutorial!🦇 Now's the time to start planning and prepping your Halloween porch! Here's how we did this! 1. Lots of faux pumpkins! Start buying them now! Need to be hollow craft pumpkins, I did various sizes and shapes! 2. A few weeks out, start carving the faces! This is tedious, so give yourself a few days and some extra hands! 3. Every porch is different, but for this one a PVC pipe base worked perfectly for securing the horizontal row of pumpkins. (Also perfect is you don't have thin enough columns or no columns at all) 4. Make 2 slits on the back of each pumpkin (horizontally) and one in the center that is just big enough to fit a C9 light. 5. Take a xl zip tie, and feed it through the 2 slits. Secure onto column or pvc base. 6. Keep stacking pumpkins on top of each other. 7. When you get to the horizontal stretch, those slits will be up and down, and you will attach the zip ties vertically onto the base. Tighten super tight so they don't droop. 8. Fill in any bare spaces with spooky black leaves or fall leaves 9. Insert C9 Christmas lights into each hole on the back of each pumpkin. 10. For the spooky trees, we took gnarly looking limbs from our backyard and spray painted them back. 11. We then wrapped them with lights, and I hung some mini craft pumpkin jackolanterns with fishing wire. We secured them to the ground with Christmas tree stands! When we originally did this is 2021, we had no idea it would be such a hit! It's funny to think when we were first trying to figure it out that we started by hot gluing the pumpkins together but quickly realized the whole thing was crumbling apart. Cory is the one who thought of the zip ties for everything, and even through all kinds of weather, the arch and trees never fell!! I tried to be a little more detailed in sharing everything this year, let me know if I left anything out! So ready for spooky season this year!!! #halloweenporch #pumpkinarch #jackolanternarch #halloweendecor #decoratewithme
