We all got super emo 🥹🥹 as we started walking up to our #MOANA2 world premiere, our aiga Tiana Nonosina and her group were playing one of my mom's favorite Samoan songs, and like any proud Samoan, she immediately started dancing. She gestures with her hand for me to come and join her. I kiss my babies and I do. This moment for ALL of us is so incredibly significant because it's our Polynesian culture and our Polynesian people represented on the big screen for world to enjoy in MOANA 2. And especially for our elders and ancestors who have paved the way. Grateful and humble. 🪝❤️ #moana2 #worldpremiere #hawaii

If you’re lucky enough to have both your parents around - absorb them and be as present as you can. I lost my dad unexpectedly a few years back, and learned the lesson that you never know what’s around the corner. We pulled up to our Moana2 premiere in Hawaii and we heard the Samoan music playing. Our Polynesian culture kicked in, and my mom started her Taualuga dance - and this was a very special moment. For all of us, but most importantly- for HER. 🌺🪝 If you got ‘em around, love on, honor and protect your mom and dad. Love to our sis Tiana Nonosina & her amazing team 🎶 ❤️

Some midnight glycogen depleted wisdom 🤓 Heard this great philosophy a few years back, and wanted to share with ya. Try changing “I HAVE to do” to “I GET to do” It’s a nice mental shift of a reminder that we GET TO because it’s a privilege. Whatever that thing is that’s HARD, whether you love or hate it, it’s the thing that sets you up for positive life results. I definitely needed the mental recalibrating tonight to get my ass in here to train. We don’t have to do it, we get to do it. Waking up Sunday morning is a whole lot sweeter knowing you got the shit done Saturday night 😉👊🏾

I’m always really moved when young boys cry in front of me. Stops me in my tracks because, us boys never want to be emotional in front of people, let alone cry in front of grown men we look up to. It’s in our DNA to hide emotions, so I’m proud of this kid — keeping his composure, keeping his sense of humor, keeping his manners - all while fighting back his tears 🥹 Very cool to meet you, Ricky and keep working hard young man. 5 years ago today, January 15th 2020, I lost my dad 🕊️ We got into a huge fight during Christmas, so we weren’t speaking at the time of his sudden passing. Wish I reconciled but it was too late. What I’d give to have just 5 more minutes, to hug him hard, kiss his cheek and say “I love you and we’re good”. I know a lot of my guys out there have complicated relationships with your dads - just like I did - and maybe you aren’t communicating because of unresolved stuff. Whatever the issue, I strongly recommend you reconcile it and make it whole. You don’t want to live the alternative where it’s too late, and you wake up one morning and realize you have to write your dad’s eulogy. I don’t want that for you, so go take care of that relationship while you still have your dad around. Give him a call, start with that. Thanks for the lessons, Soulman and as you always said, the show must go on 🕊️ See you down the road

Besides having my three daughters, my Samoan High Chief Title, High Chief Seiuli is one of the greatest honor of my life. I gave my word and made a commitment 20 years ago to his Highness High Chief Maleatoa Tunamafili II and to our people of Samoa, that I would “leave my boyish ways behind” (well, I try 😅) and carry my Samoan, Polynesian, and Black culture around the world with great respect, pride, kindness, MANA, humility, and warrior spirit. Fa’a Samoa (the Samoan way) After 20yrs of proudly carrying our culture with me around the world, I can’t wait to soon return back home to Samoa. I already have chills just thinking about it 🇼🇸❤️💪🏾 Until then, I’ll come back home to @WWE tomorrow night as we make history on @Netflix and begin a new and exciting era.
